I love watching my little one dress up as a princess. I'm always tucking her dark blonde curls up under the fancy wig, and it occurred to me one day how wonderful it would be to see some artwork of our little girls poking out from underneath those costumes, tennis shoes and all.

I sort of pride myself on being able to slip into just about any style. Not sure if that is really something to be proud of because I think I start to risk never having my own "identity" as an artist. Whatever. At least I get to do some Dora too. These poses already existed, but I turned them into these sketchy painty things. Cool, right? This was probably done at least a year ago, but I have to be careful not to post anything that's not already out there or printed. I saw a kid wearing these shirts the other day and thought, "Guess it's okay to post."
Princesses held no interest for me until Savannah came along. I'd venture to say that princesses held no interest for Savannah until Katielyn came along and told her all about them. Although Katie could not be with us on our cruise, I've re-imagined what it would have been like for the girls to be surrounded in a sea of royalty. Anyone can dress like a princess. These particular ladies, however, are true sweethearts and therefore, the real deal . Here are two best friends with "The True Disney Princesses" from the Disney Wonder!
I wanted to get out one more. This moment was just so special. Here are
both of the kids, Savannah and Gavin. Gavin told Snow White bomb jokes
and how he is officially the "King of Guns." Savannah just loved on her.

With a smile and a song
Life is just a bright sunny day
Your cares fade away
And your heart is young
While I'm on a roll, I'll go ahead and post some "personal work." Snow White spent some special time with Savannah on our
Disney Cruise. If our little princess' relationship with this other sweet little
princess is not one of the cutest examples of love and innocence, I
don't know what is.
Oh, if I get even one cyber nerd reminding me that "So This is Love" is from Cinderella, I'll set "The King of Guns" on you.
Long time, no post. I am never the first one to find out when my work is distributed, and I cannot ..uh, should not...post my work until it does. Kind of a bummer, unless I'm willing to post "personal work." I don't know why I'm a little shy when it comes to that though. Well, here: I think this cover is already being shown on Amazon, so we're safe!
I'm posting some more art from my last Golden Book project. It basically took the traditional SpongeBob style and gave it a graphic edge. I made a ton of mistakes and learned so much from this past project that I think it's going to make for a much higher-quality book 2. The pose below shows how super-excited I am about how things are coming along on the new Golden Book, but I'll have to hold-off on on posting until it publishes.
I booked a flight from Denver to LAX. I was pleased to find $85.00 one-way tickets for myself and my daughter. I was less pleased to discover the airline charges $250.00 to fly my dog one-way in the cargo hold. I asked them if I could save some money by seating him in First Class instead.
